Softball Recap: Fernley Vaqueros vs. Churchill County Greenwave

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fernley can now relate to. They lost 13-0 to the Churchill County Greenwave on Saturday. Fernley's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Fernley got a good showing from Taetum Bill, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Fernley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Steele, who went 1-for-2 with a double.

As for Churchill County, they will face off against Pahrump Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Churchill County's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Pahrump Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
