Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Wilber-Clatonia

Wilber-Clatonia won the last time they faced Sterling and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wolverines walked away with a 2-0 win over the Jets.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wilber-Clatonia took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11.

Haleah Schuerman paced Wilber-Clatonia's offense, picking up 12 kills. Schuerman got some help from Brynn Zajicek and her eight assists. Hadley Jurgens controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wilber-Clatonia's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-14. As for Sterling, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Wilber-Clatonia will challenge David City on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they will venture away from home to take on Dorchester at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
