Basketball Game Preview: Wilson Hall Barons vs. John Paul II Golden Warrriors

The Wilson Hall Barons will head out on the road to take on the John Paul II Golden Warrriors at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

John Paul II will be up against a hot Wilson Hall team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went Wilson Hall's way against Camden Military on Wednesday as Wilson Hall made off with a 55-32 win. The Barons pushed the score to 50-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans cut but never quite recovered from.

Wilson Hall got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ford Wilder out in front who went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Hugh Humphries, who posted six points and five boards.

Meanwhile, John Paul II waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 58-42. That's two games straight that the Golden Warrriors have won by exactly 16 points.

Wilson Hall's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. As for John Paul II, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.

Wilson Hall strolled past John Paul II in their previous matchup on Saturday by a score of 52-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilson Hall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
