Centerville hadn't done well against Kennard recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Hardy Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jake Slaten was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Kolt Larsen was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Centerville lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Centerville pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Kennard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16-1.

As of now, neither Centerville nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
