Basketball Game Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Yuba City Honkers

The Roseville Tigers will take on the Yuba City Honkers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Roseville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Twelve Bridges just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raging Rhinos.

Meanwhile, Yuba City can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 41-31 victory over Nevada Union.

Roseville better focus on containing Juliana Vasquez and Cythlali Cortez as the pair were huge in Yuba City's win. Vasquez went 11 of 20 en route to 17 points, while Cortez went 7 for 13 on her way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Those 17 points gave Vasquez a new career-high.

Yuba City was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Roseville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Yuba City, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-14.
