Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 22-12 to Kilgore. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Kilgore this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 back in March.

Samantha Rivera led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Keslee Gandy, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Kilgore, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-15.

While Chapel Hill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
