Basketball Recap: Webster Takes a Loss

Webster played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Metro Christian Patriots 70-26. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

When it comes to explaining why Webster lost, don't look at Hondo Avington. Despite the final result, he posted six points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Webster smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Webster has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Metro Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
