The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Alamance will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Eastern Alamance's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Williams by a score of 3-0. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly three runs.

Kasen Mcginnis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched. Mcginnis was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

Mcginnis wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Westbrooks, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Clover Garden School didn't have quite enough to beat Cornerstone Charter on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Clover Garden School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Eastern Alamance, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
