Football Recap: Limestone Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Limestone's offense. They were beaten by the Pekin Dragons 42-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Dragons are ranked 144th).

Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Pekin, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, Limestone will square off against Canton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets will be up against the Little Giants' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pekin, they will be playing at home against East Peoria at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
