Mission Bay extended their winning streak  to nine  on Friday, bumping them up to 9-0. They breezed past the Crawford Colts to the tune of  49-21. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won three contests by 28  points or more  so far this season.
 Trey Arnold continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 338 yards and five  touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 30 yards. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in November of 2024.  Nestor Bautista was another key player, rushing for 102 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 12 carries.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Mission Bay proved: they limited Crawford to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank  Nereo Kraft for the heroic effort on defense: he. Mission Bay didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.8.

As for Crawford, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record  this season. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 728th, while Mission Bay is ranked 183rd).
 Crawford's loss  came despite strong showings from  Collin Hunt and  Garcia.  Hunt picked up 217 receiving yards and three  scores, while  Garcia threw for 255 yards and three  touchdowns. Hunt showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 52 yards.
