Baseball Game Preview: Manteca Buffaloes vs. Lodi Flames

The Manteca Buffaloes will take on the Lodi Flames at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manteca will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Monday, Manteca beat Central Valley 5-1.

Jimmy Burns was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Brody Carabello was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Lodi had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Oak Ridge by a score of 7-5. The Flames haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Lodi saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Crawford, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Manteca's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lodi, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
