Lawrence Academy had won three straight road games and Claire Smith did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Ridgecroft Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory thanks in part to Smith, who had 24 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25, 26-24.

Lawrence Academy's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Ridgecroft, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.

As of now, neither Lawrence Academy nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
