Softball Game Preview: Rhodes Rams vs. Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings

The Rhodes Rams will head out on the road to take on the Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rhodes has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Rhodes didn't have quite enough to beat Andrews Osborne Academy and fell 12-11.

Meanwhile, Villa Angela-St. Joseph got the win against Garrett Morgan on Monday by a conclusive 20-2. Considering the Vikings have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Villa Angela-St. Joseph has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Rhodes, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
