The Leakey Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the D'Hanis Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leakey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Leakey fell just short of Junction by a score of 10-9. Leakey has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angelina Palacios made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Rimkus, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, while D'Hanis put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Knippa. The Cowboys put the hurt on the Crushers with a sharp 15-0 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Cowboys this season.

D'Hanis' win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9. As for Leakey, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12-1.

Leakey took their victory against D'Hanis in their previous matchup on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
