Volleyball Recap: Rock Springs Christian Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

After a string of eight wins, Rock Springs Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pike County Pirates. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in August.

Rock Springs Christian Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pike County work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24.

Olivia Toney paced Rock Springs Christian Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Toney got some help from Lauren Harrell and her seven assists. Abbi Robinson and Karragen Crumbley kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Rock Springs Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Pike County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Rock Springs Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Academy for Classical Education on the 25th. As for Pike County, after both having extra time off, they and West Laurens will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
