Volleyball Recap: Yonkers Comes Up Short

Yonkers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maria Regina Tigers. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Yonkers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Maria Regina, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3-1.

Yonkers has already played their next matchup (against Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Maria Regina, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Montfort Academy on the 14th.
