Basketball Recap: New Creation Christian Academy Gets the Win

New Creation Christian Academy won the last time they faced Peachtree Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders managed a 79-75 win over the Peachtree Academy Panthers.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Jackson, who went 11 of 24 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Baluta, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.

New Creation Christian Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Peachtree Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

New Creation Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Calvary Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Calvary Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season. As for Peachtree Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Peachtree Academy Panthers take on the Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peachtree Academy also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 52.9 points per game.
