Volleyball Recap: Gibson Southern Comes Up Short at Home Against North Posey

Gibson Southern unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the North Posey Vikings on Monday. The Titans have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: North Posey scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-19.

North Posey can attribute much of their success to Mallory Luigs, who had 11 digs and two aces. Luigs has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 19 times she's played.

Coming up, Gibson Southern will face off against Evansville Reitz at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Posey, they will square off against Evansville Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
