Football Recap: El Segundo Eagles vs. West Warriors
El Segundo entered their game against West on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 31-28. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this contest were averaging 13.9 points allowed.

Despite the loss, El Segundo still got an impressive performance from Lincoln Quaintance, who rushed for 178 yards and four scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Quaintance was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Ryan Wiacek helped out on the ground, rushing for 102 yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Golia, who threw for 234 yards and four TDs. El Segundo's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for West, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
