The Newman Central Catholic Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Morrison Mustangs at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 On Thursday,  it was close, but  Newman Central Catholic sidestepped Princeton for  a  10-9 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Newman Central Catholic.
 The team  relied heavily on  Brenleigh Cook, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  double.  Madison Duhon was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Morrison has not done well against Rockridge recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. Morrison came out on top against Rockridge by a score of  6-1.
