Volleyball Recap: Lawrence County Takes a Loss

Lawrence County saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Bayside Academy Admirals.

Ava Templeton paced Lawrence County's offense, picking up five kills. Templeton got some help from Alivia Terry and her five assists.

Bayside Academy can attribute much of their success to Julia Savage, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Savage a new career-high.

Lawrence County now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Bayside Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Lawrence County will challenge Muscle Shoals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Trojans have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bayside Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Lamar on the 23rd.
