Soccer Recap: Waunakee Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waunakee can now relate to. They came up short against the Oregon Panthers on Thursday, falling 4-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Oregon this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in May.

Waunakee's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7-4. As for Oregon, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

Waunakee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oregon, they will take on Madison West on Saturday. Madison West will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Oregon surely won't give up without a fight.
