Baseball Recap: Otter Valley Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Hartford

Otter Valley faced Hartford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Otters fell 5-2 to the Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 two weeks ago.

Otter Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Warrell, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Max Potter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Otter Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Hartford, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

Coincidentally, Otter Valley and Hartford will both be playing Fair Haven the next time they take the field. The Hurricanes will host the Slaters at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Otters will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
