Arnold's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Arnold Marlins vs. Mosley Dolphins

After a string of three wins, the Arnold Marlins's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 39-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mosley. While losing is never fun, Arnold can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Mosley is ranked 141st).

Despite the loss, Arnold still got an impressive performance from Ashley Steen, who scored 12 points. The contest was Steen's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Harmony Perales, who scored six points.

Mosley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rowen Clements out in front who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Sherilyn Sanchez, who scored eight points along with five assists and three steals.

Arnold's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1. As for Mosley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arnold will take on Marianna at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marianna and Arnold are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Mosley, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Port St. Joe at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st.
