Recap: North County Christian vs. Christian Fellowship

North County Christian lost against Christian Fellowship back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North County Christian lost to Christian Fellowship on the road by a decisive 47-29 margin. North County Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, North County Christian saw an underclassman step up: Zoey Zamarripa scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zamarripa has scored all season.

Leading Christian Fellowship to victory were Kylie Babich and Brooke Grathwohl. Babich dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Grathwohl dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Grathwohl is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Ariya Barton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and eight assists.

North County Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Christian Fellowship, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

North County Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lighthouse Prep Academy at 11:00 a.m. on February 3rd. Lighthouse Prep Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something North County Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christian Fellowship, they and Columbia Independent will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Columbia Independent comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
