Basketball Recap: United South Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for United South, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They managed a 57-53 victory over the Somerset Bulldogs on Tuesday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 456th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

United South pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Somerset, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

United South will face off against Rockwall at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. United South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Rockwall likes a good challenge. As for Somerset, they will be taking part in a tournament against Belton at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
