Soccer Recap: Western Guilford Takes a Loss

Western Guilford lost against Ragsdale back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hornets came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Western Guilford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Ragsdale are ranked 155th).

Western Guilford dropped their record down to 5-15-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Ragsdale, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Guilford will host Northwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ragsdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northern Guilford will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Ragsdale surely won't give up without a fight.
