Rocky River's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 48-47 victory over the Butler Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-56 back in January.

Rocky River's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Walton, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Walton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayden Ross, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Despite the loss, Butler still got an impressive performance from Caleb Milligan, who earned ten points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Reece Starnes was another key player, going 5 for 10 to rack up 12 points.

Rocky River's record now sits at 9-11. As for Butler, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky River will host Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocky River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season. As for Butler, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Charlotte Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Charlotte Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Butler likes a good challenge.
