Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Comes Up Short

If Lawrence was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Notre Dame Cristo Rey on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers fell just short of the Dracut Middies by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Middies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Lawrence wouldn't go down easily and took Dracut into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 25-14, 10-25, 17-25, 25-17, 15-7.

Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Dracut, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence will welcome Tewksbury Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dracut, they will face off against Methuen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
