Malachi Henderson Drops League-Best Effort on Friday

Starting off the list is Holdenville's Malachi Henderson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Henderson made a tackle and defended a pass. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 76 yards.

The win for Holdenville keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Henderson and Holdenville will host Beggs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Maddox Posts Huge Game in 14-12 Loss

While Dibble might've come up empty on Friday, Austin Maddox wasn't going down without a fight. Maddox turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 224 receiving yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.

Dibble's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3. Maddox and Dibble will head out on the road to square off against Comanche at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Abe Gomez Makes It Three for Holdenville

Another Holdenville player making an appearance on this list is Abe Gomez. He rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 19 yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Gomez has thrown 2 touchdowns while averaging 14.4 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to nine.
