Lincoln North Star is 0-7 against Millard West since April of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Navigators will venture away from home to square off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Lincoln North Star is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Lincoln North Star came up short against Creighton Prep and fell 11-8. The Navigators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln North Star saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Mckillip, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Millard West faced Papillion-LaVista South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 10-3 to the Titans. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jake Blackman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Lincoln North Star's record is now 3-2. As for Millard West, their record now sits at 4-4.

Lincoln North Star couldn't quite finish off Millard West in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Navigators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
