Volleyball Game Preview: Heritage Patriots vs. Cedar Grove Saints

Heritage is a perfect 3-0 against Cedar Grove since September of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Patriots will face off against the Saints at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Heritage has three straight victories, Cedar Grove has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Heritage is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since August 28th on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past Rockdale County 2-1.

Heritage had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-13, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Cedar Grove came up short against Morrow on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-11.

Cedar Grove's loss dropped their record down to 9-22. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10.

Heritage skirted past Cedar Grove 2-1 in their previous meeting back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
