Basketball Recap: Marlboro Comes Up Short

Marlboro lost against Manchester Township back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Marlboro Mustangs fell to the Manchester Township Hawks 50-45. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manchester Township was led to victory by Jesse Sarana and Madeline Nolan. Sarana dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Nolan went 7-for-14 en route to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Sarana a new career-high in boards. Marisiya Goins was another key player, putting up eight points.

Marlboro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Manchester Township, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Marlboro has already played their next contest (against West Morris Mendham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Manchester Township, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jackson Memorial at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
