Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Zurich Bears vs. Warren Township Blue Devils

The Lake Zurich Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Warren Township Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Lake Zurich is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Barrington, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Lake Zurich was ranked 14th). The Bears walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Fillies/Broncos on Monday.

While Lake Zurich might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Barrington scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Warren Township hadn't done well against Barrington recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Fillies/Broncos by a score of 2-0.

Warren Township's win bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Lake Zurich, they pushed their record up to 27-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
