Volleyball Recap: Abbotsford Starts Season with Win Against Greenwood

Abbotsford gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Greenwood Indians with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-5, 25-12.

Caylee Clement had an outrageously good game as she had seven aces and four digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Clement wasn't the only good server: Abbotsford was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Coming up, Abbotsford will take on Reedsburg at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Greenwood, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colby at 7:15 p.m. on September 23.
