With a playoff win on the line, Cisco rose to the challenge on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 21-20 photo finish over the Panhandle Panthers. The win was nothing new for the Loboes as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Cisco found their leader in sophomore Colby McIlroy, who rushed for 98 yards and one score on only 12 carries, and also threw for 163 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Cisco was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.
Cisco's record is now 11-1. As for Panhandle, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.
Coming up, Cisco will challenge Spearman at 7:05 p.m. on Friday. Panhandle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
