Softball Recap: Boone Comes Up Short

Boone fell victim to East Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the East Ridge Knights, falling 15-0. The Braves' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Boone saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Solberg, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Boone's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for East Ridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boone will square off against Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Apopka knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Boone likes a good challenge. As for East Ridge, they will challenge Doral Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
