Mills lost to San Mateo back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on five straight.

While Mills might've won, it sure wasn't easy: San Mateo scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.

Abigail Purvey paced Mills' offense, picking up 12 kills. Purvey got some help from Noelle Young and her 27 assists. Young was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mills' win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for San Mateo, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mills is set to take on their familiar foe South San Francisco at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, San Mateo will square off against rival Capuchino at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
