Recap: Eno River Bobcats vs. Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions

The Eno River Bobcats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 56-50 W over Excelsior Classical Academy on Wednesday.

Eno River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corey Amyot, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Amyot hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Jacob Manning was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Excelsior Classical Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hunter Goss. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Goss hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Hill, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Eno River's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-10.

Eno River will square off against Oxford Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxford Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eno River in North Carolina (Oxford Prep is ranked 308th, while Eno River is ranked 651st). As for Excelsior Classical Academy, they will be playing at home against Voyager at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 62.1 so far this season, Voyager's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Excelsior Classical Academy better be ready for a challenge.
