Baseball Game Preview: Whittier Cardinals vs. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals

Whittier will square off against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Whittier faced off against Wilson on Friday. Whittier fell just short of Wilson by a score of 5-4.

Whittier saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Magallanes, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Magallanes a new career-high in hits (two). Another was Andrew Ruvalcaba, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary got themselves on the board against Rosemead on Saturday, but Rosemead never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Whittier, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
