Soccer Game Preview: Winter Park vs. Timber Creek

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Winter Park Wildcats will host the Timber Creek Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Winter Park sitting on four straight victories and Timber Creek on three.

Winter Park's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They beat Edgewater by a goal, winning 1-0. Give the Wildcats' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Kate Williams, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Timber Creek got the win against Boone on Friday by a conclusive 5-0. Considering Wolves have won five games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Winter Park pushed their record up to 6-1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Timber Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0-2.
