Basketball Game Preview: Belmont Bison vs. Franklin Monroe Jets

The Belmont Bison will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Franklin Monroe Jets at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Friday, Belmont ended up a good deal behind Stivers School for the Arts and lost 40-25.

The losing side was boosted by Jason Maddickes, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Franklin Monroe put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Yellow Springs for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-28 victory. The Jets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Franklin Monroe's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Belmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
