Volleyball Recap: Canton-Galva Comes Up Short

Canton-Galva lost against Goessel back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluebirds. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Canton-Galva may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 18 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Trinity Espinoza paced Canton-Galva's offense, picking up 13 kills. Espinoza got some help from Aaliyah Skipworth and her 14 assists.

Canton-Galva's defeat dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Goessel, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Canton-Galva and Goessel will both be playing Rural Vista [Hope/White City] the next time they take the court. The Bluebirds will head out to face the Heat at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
