Soccer Game Preview: Providence vs. Ben Lippen

The Providence Panthers will challenge the Ben Lippen Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence will be strutting in after a win while Ben Lippen will be coming in after a loss.

While Providence's victory against Airport wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Providence beat Airport by a goal, winning 2-1. Providence haven't had any issues with Airport recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Ben Lippen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Heathwood Hall Episcopal. Jude Coen was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Ben Lippen hit Heathwood Hall Episcopal with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Joao Almeida, Davis Whitaker, and Yaosheng (Peter) Zhou.

Providence now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ben Lippen, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
