Preview: Christian Learning Center Mustangs vs. Heartland Mustangs
Two dominant in Rylie Allen and Esther Archibald are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Christian Learning Center Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Heartland Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Christian Learning Center sitting on 18 straight wins and Heartland on four.
In what's become a running theme this season, Christian Learning Center gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Center Place for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-16 win at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Christian Learning Center has posted since November 16, 2023.
Christian Learning Center got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Allen out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Callie Trezona was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Heartland earned a 34-22 win over Plaza Heights Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Archibald continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Archibald is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Archibald, who scored ten points.
Christian Learning Center's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Heartland, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Christian Learning Center took their win against Heartland in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 47-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christian Learning Center since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
