Baseball Recap: Palm Beach Central Takes a Loss

Palm Beach Central has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.91 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Wellington Wolverines. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Broncos were not able to get on the board.

Palm Beach Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabrian Diaz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Palm Beach Central and nudges their season record down to 15-7. As for Wellington, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Beach Central will welcome Jackson County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wellington, they will host Seminole Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Wolverines' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
