Softball Recap: North Creek Extends Winning Streak to Four

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Creek walked away with it. They skirted past the Eastmont Wildcats 4-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaguars, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Reagan Fleming made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Paige Geller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

North Creek hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastmont struck out 12 times.

North Creek pushed their record up to 25-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Eastmont, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.

As of now, neither North Creek nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
