It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Smith Valley had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Excel Christian Warriors a 15-0 shutout. Considering Smith Valley has won 15 contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Wyatt Wulfing made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Wulfing was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times he's played.
