Captain Shreve has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Bossier on Tuesday as Captain Shreve made off with a 56-33 victory.
Captain Shreve's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Lofton, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jyrin Sowell, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pineville was able to grind out a solid victory over Rapides on Tuesday, taking the game 58-47. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Pineville has scored all year.
Captain Shreve's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Pineville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-1.
