Recap: Baker Bobcats vs. Rauner Wildcats
The Baker Bobcats lost against the Rauner Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Baker was dealt a 65-9 loss at the hands of Rauner. Baker has struggled against Rauner recently, as their game on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Rauner's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camar Russell, who scored 16 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Yahweh Anderson, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals.
Baker's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rauner, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Baker will look to defend their home court on Monday against Noble Street College Prep at 7:00 p.m. As for Rauner, they will head out on the road to face off against Hancock at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
